Here are just a few ideas to help keep your Modular Furniture product looking good for many years to come.

Dust with a soft clean cloth or feather duster.

Wipe with a clean damp cloth to remove minor marks.

Spillages especially alcohol should be wiped off immediately with a damp cloth.

Protect your furniture with heat resistant placemats for all hot food and beverages.

Do not expose timber to direct sunlight or extremes of humidity.

Do not conceal the tops of your furniture with glass covers. This can result in sweating of the timber and peeling of the stain may occur.

Do not use general household cleaning products that contain silicones or abrasive polishers.

Do not allow hot or abrasive items in contact with your surfaces.

Do not allow liquids or damp cloths to remain in contact with the furniture's surfaces.

Doors and drawers are squarely fitted in our factory, some movement may occur during transport. Ensure your unit sits on a level surface for smooth operation.

Colour variance
Timber is a natural living product and therefore the grain and structure of each piece is unique reflecting the history and the life of the tree, this is the beauty of the product. It is not possible to achieve a total uniformity of colour within one piece or a total suite. Attempting to colour match an old piece with a new one is not practical as the new furniture will also age and develop a richer deeper colour as time passes. What is perceived as a flaw by some may simply be a characteristic of the timber. Your furniture may differ slightly from the furniture you saw on display in the store due to the grain of the timber or the age of the display suite, however the essence of the colour remains the same. Your Modular bedroom suite will improve with age and, over a period of time, will develop a rich natural patina (depth of colour)
A small amount of timber movement is also considered natural.In the event of damage, please contact your retailer or our factory for advice.
Staining to a non Modular colour
Our staining process does not allow for one off colour runs, we have a commercial spray line which allows us to colour multiple pieces of furniture in the same colour at one time. The staining and finishing products we use are selected with care, and have been tried and tested over a long period of time to ensure a quality finish on all the Modular furniture pieces that you order.

Purchasing casegoods at the same time as the bed
There are many reasons for this, to ensure that all of your pieces have timber selected with the best possible matching of grain and texture on visible features like drawer fronts and tops. 

Secondly to insure that all of your pieces are sprayed and finished under the same conditions to enable the best possible continuity of colour.

Your original order will develop a richer depth of colour as time passes, an additional piece ordered at a later time than your original order may not age with the same natural colour, as every piece of timber has it’s own identity that comes with being a natural living product. 

Warranty

Modular Furniture Pty Ltd guarantees to make good by repair or replacement (at its discretion), any manufacturing defect for a period of 5 years from the original date of purchase to the original owner. (The identification label on the back or bottom of each item of furniture is used to validate the purchase date and should therefore not be removed.)

"Our goods come with guarentees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure"
This is provided that care instructions have been followed, the products has not been altered or repairs attempted by an unauthorized person, and any defect is not the result of normal wear and tear, misuse, negligence or accident and is not a natural characteristic of the material used.

Should the item require return to the place of manufacture, cost of transport is not covered under this warranty. On occasion Modular Furniture Pty Ltd may request return of goods for inspection prior to any acceptance of a warranty claim. At its discretion Modular Furniture Pty Ltd may replace items either in part or in full as deemed necessary. All endeavours will be made to match items replaced with that of original but no guarantee can be given due to changes in the supply of goods or manufacturing processes, or circumstances beyond its control. No extensions apply to the warranty period for any product repaired or replaced.
